Susan DeJoy, Chief, Division of Midwifery and Community Health, and Dr. Ronald Burkman, Department of Obstetrics-Gynecology, are the authors of "Successful Models of Collaborative Practice: The Baystate Story." Their paper was awarded second prize in the category of academic programs by the joint American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists/ American College of Nurse-Midwives committee on the Issue of the Year. The 2011 Issue of the Year is Successful Models of Collaborative Practice in Maternity Care. Top papers from both academic and community settings will receive a monetary award.
Dr. Burkman and Ms. DeJoy have been asked to present at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists 2011 Annual Clinical Meeting and at the American College of Nurse-Midwives 2011 Annual Meeting and Exposition.
