May 01, 2012: Sonali Arora, MD and Payal Jhawar, MD, both PGY2 Internal Medicine residents, won awards at the 2012 Society of General Internal Medicine meeting.
 
2012 Pharmacy Residency Match Fills All of Baystate's PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Slots
April 01, 2012: Baystate Medical Center matched all five of its open PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency positions in the Pharmacy Residency Match that took place on March 21, 2012. This year's Match had both the highest number of participating candidates and the most positions filled since the program's inception in 1979. Pharmacy residency are competitive—1,438 of this year's PGY-1 candidates did not match.
 
Emergency Medicine Residents Win 2nd Place in National Video Contest
April 01, 2012: Emergency medicine PGY2 residents Sundeep Shukla and John Fialkovich, and Dr. Rakesh Talati, emergency medicine faculty member, placed second in the Emergency Medicine Physicians' Annual Video Contest.
