The Baystate Midwifery Education Program held its 20th graduation ceremony in May 2013. The three nurse-midwife graduates have simultaneously earned a Masters of Science degree in Nursing from the Midwifery Institute of Philadelphia University. Two of the graduates have already passed the national American Midwifery Certification Board exam.

  • Rachel Ballester, CNM is joining Sutter Health in Davis, CA.
  • Kyrsten Hamel, CNM will remain in Springfield at Riverbend Medical Group
  • Sarah Todd (Certification exam pending within next 10 days) has not yet decided on where to practice.

The Baystate Midwifery Education Program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME) through 2017.
