Research
  • July 2000—June 2001: Musculoskeletal Research Center, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA. Conducted research under Drs. Freddie H. Fu and Savio L-Y. Woo in the area of ACL graft placement. Studied the effect of femoral tunnel position on knee kinematics and in situ force using Robotic Universal Force Moment Sensor testing system.

  • May 1996 - Aug. 1996: Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, St. Louis. MO. Conducted research under Drs. Jay P. Heiken. James A. Brink, and Elizabeth G. McFarland in the design and implementation of software/software algorithms for "virtual colonoscopy/bronchoscopy" used in the detection of colonic polyps and lung masses based on spiral CT.

  • January 1990 - May 1991: EECS Department, U.C. Berkeley, Berkeley. CA. Research Assistant - Ptolemy Group - conducted research under the direction of Professor D. G. Messerschmitt, in the area of packetized speech and data in communication networks. Designed network simulation software using the Ptolemy Simulation System developed by the Ptolemy Project.
