Career Description
Exercise science professionals can work with exercise physiologists in a number of settings to motivate individuals to modify negative health habits and maintain positive lifestyle behaviors for health promotion.
Education
Exercise science programs can be completed in a 4 year bachelor’s degree program.
Pre-requisites

Students must have completed the following courses: Anatomy & Physiology, Physiology of Exercise, EKG Interpretation, and Exercise Testing and Prescription.

Approval for an externship opportunity at BMC may include an interview, as well as a cover letter and resume.
Length of Clinical Experience
The Cardiac Rehabilitation Internship experiences are approximately 3-4 months long.
Clinical Tracks at BMC

Cardiac Rehabilitation and Wellness. Most students will begin their clinical experience in outpatient, which is phase 3 of cardiac rehabilitation.
