The Baystate/Tufts Endocrinology fellowship program is dedicated to providing a well balanced, academic experience to its trainees. The fellowship includes rotations on both inpatient and outpatient services as well as a large number of well attended conferences ranging from basic science, to pathology, and clinical case conferences. A high faculty-to-fellow ration ensures a broad experience for our trainees. The faculty and staff take pride in creating a friendly learning environment.

- Participation in week long “Endocrine University” during second year resulting in certification in thyroid ultrasound, bone mineral density interpretation, metabolic laboratory CLIA certification, insulin pump and sensor hands-on instruction, reproductive medicine (ultrasound intervention), and practice management issues.
Curriculum Information
- Alternating monthly rotations between inpatient and outpatient services for both years
- Protected research time and introduction to research course
- Pediatric and reproductive endocrinology rotations
- Specialty Clinics: diabetes mellitus, thyroid ultrasound and biopsy, lipids, osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease, pediatric metabolic bone disease, podiatry, and ophthalmology
- Weekly Conferences: endocrine grand rounds, pathology, clinical case conference, core curriculum conference
- Monthly Conferences: clinical journal club, research conference
- Participation in monthly divisional meeting
- Participation in quarterly fellowship evaluation meeting
