The Baystate Medical Center Physician Spouses Association (BPSA) is a philanthropic, social and support organization for the spouses, significant others and families of resident and fellow physicians.

Membership is free and open to all spouses/significant others and families of residents and fellows at Baystate.

• Members are encouraged to become active in the organization—our success relies on your participation.

• Each year, new officers and committee members are nominated.

What We Do

• Welcome the families of new residents and fellows to the Pioneer Valley

• Provide a social support system to ease the transition to Western Mass

• Encourage and foster a sense of “community” among Baystate residents and fellows and their families

• Organize social events and promote desirable service projects to benefit community charities

Monthly Events

The BPSA plans fun monthly events designed to bring families together and foster lifetime freindships. The also give residents, fellows and their families the opportunity to socialize outside of work and have fun at events such as:

• Gatherings at local bars and restaurants

• Cookouts/Potlucks at member homes

• Playgroups and family friendly events

• Several larger events throughout the year

Our Mission

The Baystate Physician Spouse Association will provide a welcoming community for residents and fellows and their families, and foster fellowship between families in order to build a strong foundation for successful training as a resident/fellow.
