Goals
This rotation provides students with an opportunity to be involved in active research in the field of emergency medicine.
Objectives
The student will…
- function as research assistants by recruiting and screening patients for open research studies.
- be involved in lab research either as observers or participants.
- assist with literature reviews.
- participate in weekly resident conferences and procedure labs.
- be offered mentorship if motivated to design a study to be submitted for IRB approval.
- have the opportunity to be offered authorship based on level of involvement on papers.
