Goals
This elective provides clinical exposure to urogynecological and pelvic issues and their treatment.
Objectives
The student will…
- review pelvic anatomy
- perform gynecologic examinations
- review concepts in surgery and practice surgical skills
- participate in the evaluation and management of women suffering from pelvic support defects and/or urinary incontinence in both the ambulatory and inpatient settings
- prepare a brief library research paper and oral presentation on a topic pertinent to pelvic anatomy, gynecologic surgery or urogynecology
