Application Process

• The Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Baystate Medical Center participates in the ERAS Program for the residency application process. Click here for the ERAS Information.
• ERAS applications are reviewed daily.
• Once an applicant is selected, an interview invitation is mailed.

Application Requirements

• USMLE scores and/or COMLEX scores
• Personal statement
• 3 letters of recommendation
• Transcripts must be in ERAS
• All applicants must fulfill Baystate's Resident & Fellow Appointment Requirements.

Interviews

We are offering interviews on Tuesdays and Fridays starting mid-November through early to mid-February.

We begin the process with an optional night out at one of our local establishments in Northampton, the day before. This gives the applicant the opportunity to see a bit of the area, and to meet some of the residents and faculty in an informal setting.

Each applicant interviews with the program director, 2 attendings, and a resident;  has lunch with the residents; and is given a tour of the ED by one of our residents.
