I am originally from Maryland and trained at University of Maryland School of Medicine. Wanting to move to the Northeast to be closer to the great outdoors, I ended up in Western Mass. My medical interests are ultrasound, tactical medicine, and wilderness medicine. I'm happily married to a PT and have a German Shorthaired Pointer named Remy. When I'm not in the hospital, I'm usually outside. I like to snowboard and taught snowboarding for years before residency; in addition I run, mountain bike, hike, and hunt. I'm also into photography.

Baystate is a great place to train for two main reasons in my mind: the patient volume, and the people. First, you are always busy here. When you think about it, that's a huge perk- you are never waiting for patients and you will see many more patients over your three years. And you never get bored here. The second fact, the people here, is something I cannot even start to stress. Everyone here is likable, and I have so much in common with the residents and even attendings. The people are good from the top down. Our residency director is great, and always looking out for us. You will have to come see it to believe it!
