Why Baystate? Two reasons. (1) Exposure. No one pulls any punches when they talk about Baystate - it's busy, and it's usually the serious kind of busy. In the ED here you will become equipped with the skill set to manage a steady flow of acute health and primary care needs, as well as a generous helping of hands-on trauma work. The confidence and competence that comes out of a training environment like this means that you step out of the hospital prepared to work in any ED in the world (provided you speak the local language). (2) Environment. I think I have one of the best jobs imaginable, and I love going to work, but I enjoy my time with my family and friends very much.
