Since the moment I was born at Baystate Medical Center, I've known I would return someday to work here. Not really, though. Actually I've spent most of my life up to now trying to escape western mass. I went to college at Notre Dame, lived in Mexico for a year after graduation, and did most of my med school rotations out west or down south. I'm also planning on working abroad after residency. But I guess there's just no place like home, and I really am happy to be back here for a few years. So far I've been amazed at how down to earth and genuine the people are in this program. I'm living in Northampton, which is a surprisingly great area - lots of live music, restaurants, bars, and outdoorsy stuff. In my spare time I enjoy doing non-medical things and having non-medical conversations. |
