Hello, my name is Cito Vasconcellos. I am originally from southern California and attended the University of Southern California for my undergrad. I was a member of the swimming team there and managed to earn my degree in Biology. I had a number of odd jobs after I graduated and medical school was always in the back of my mind but it wasn't until I served as an EMT in south central LA when I decided medicine was the path for me. I packed my bags and left sunny California for medical school at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. It is a fantastic school but I never succumbed to watching Badger football over Trojan football.
I am extremely happy to be here at Baystate for my residency. It has all the things I was looking for in an emergency medicine residency: incredible volume of patients, loads of pathology and trauma exposure, cool residents and attendings, and a great area of the country close to family and friends. I amlooking forward to the next three years and experiencing all the east coast has to offer. |
