Auras knew at an early age that he wanted to become a doctor. Becoming an internist was a more gradual decision for him shaped largely by his own experience as a patient. During medical school, he had an avid interest in working with the community and received many awards for his work. In his final year of medical school, he undertook an original funded research study on “Behavioral Factors on Patients with Cardiovascular Risk”, which was accepted by the Indian Council of Medical Research. After graduating from Kasturba Medical College, he completed an internship and worked as a Junior Resident in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. In his spare time, he enjoys playing sports, hiking and exploring nature and traveling with his family whenever possible. He is married to Sonali Arora, a resident in our Internal Medicine Residency Program. |
