Dev was born in the United Kingdom where he spent his early childhood. Raised in a household where both parents are surgeons, he believes “although a doctor’s life is hard work it is all worth the effort”. After graduating from medical school, Dev worked with a team of doctors visiting remote areas providing healthcare. He was working in the UK as a Senior House Officer. An avid sports enthusiast, he has played cricket – zonal and All- India level in India, and is playing club cricket in the UK. While in medical school he played basketball, volleyball and was captain on the badminton team. He also enjoys playing chess and learning new languages. Apart from English, he is fluent in Kannada, Bengali, Urdu and Hindi
