Behdad Besharatian, MD

Behdad was born and raised in Washington DC and was accepted to the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland directly from High School. During medical school, he led a team of fellow students in a Health Disease and Society Team Project and won the Zachary Johnson Prize. He has a love for soccer that started at a very young age. He represented the US in the prestigious Gothia Cup and Umbro International Soccer Tournaments in Gothenburg, Sweden and Manchester, England. He was co-founder of the Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Fraternity at RCSI. After graduating from RCSI, he completed an internship at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin and worked at The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane, Australia. When Behdad is not playing soccer he enjoys music and playing the saxophone.  He is a couple with Eimear Kitt (RCSI), a medicine-pediatrics resident
