It was through a family tragedy at a young age in India, that Taraka‘s frustration turned into his desire to become a physician. During medical school he was awarded a Gold medal for his outstanding performance in the University Examinations in Pathology. He presented at National Conference, Annual Conference, wrote a journal publication and was an active member of the General Club & Volunteer for the CME Programs conducted by the college. He did volunteer work for the Indian Red Cross Society and for the Pulse Polio Immunization Program. During his internship, his love for teaching led him to his involvement in a “concept-oriented teaching and awareness program” in internal medicine for nursing staff and students. Taraka speaks Telugu and Hindi and when he is not volunteering, he enjoys singing, music, swimming, and sports. |
