Ji Hyun was born in South Korea. When she was 13, Ji Hyun read Albert Schweitzer’s biography and knew that she wanted to become a physician. His life taught her about “the power of love for humanity and the impact it has on the world”.  Over the years, she has experienced as much of the world as possible through backpacking in America and several Asian countries, which introduced her to a “rich diversity” of cultures. Upon graduating from medical school, she completed an internship in South Korea. She worked at a clinic in her native country and looks forward to living and practicing medicine in a country that “embraces and celebrates diversity”. She is fluent in Korean and enjoys playing piano, guitar and singing as well as tennis, movies and cooking.
