Daniel was born in Richmond, Virginia. After graduating from UMASS with a BS in Biology, he volunteered his time at a free clinic in Worcester and for Habitat for Humanity in Louisiana. He has traveled extensively, including playing football in Europe. During medical school he traveled to Africa where his experiences there have helped him to work with those from different cultures and to become better connected with his patients. Through these experiences Daniel has taken away many lessons that he can apply to medicine. When he is not volunteering his time, Daniel enjoys reading, creative writing, drawing, photography, and traveling.
