Born and raised in India, Ella also holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Hartford. Her graduate program included health psychology research in the study of coping mechanisms observed in terminally-ill children, and their parents. She also interned with the Waterbury School System, working with low-functioning, non-verbal young children with autism. Ella cites her work as a behavioral therapist to be the single most convincing experience that has led to her study of Internal Medicine. Ella’s outside interests include hiking, kayaking, and keeping in touch with her family and friends.
