Shin Yin was born in Assen, Netherlands. After graduating, Magna Cum Laude from Tulane University with a Biomedical Engineering degree, Shin Yin went on to Medical School in Malaysia at the International Medical University and then on to Dalhousie University Faculty of Medicine in Nova Scotia, Canada. He grew up on Borneo Island in a multicultural environment and has lived and studied in five different countries on three continents. He enjoys and practices classical piano and martial arts, for which he credits for his artistic and creative personality, as well as his dedication and perseverance.
