A native of Saudi Arabia, Ameen was 15 when he lost his beloved grandmother to a heart attack. This sad occurrence and other forces drove him to a career as a physician. After receiving his medical degree, he pursued post-graduate training and work experience in his home country and in the U.S. With his eye on a fellowship in Cardiology, he enjoys the challenge and the limitless range of Internal Medicine, and has come to Baystate because of the strength of its internal residency and fellowship programs. In his spare moments, Ameen enjoys reading poems, swimming, table tennis and volleyball.
