Mompoloki is a native of Botswana. After earning his medical degree, he had some post-graduate clinical training in Botswana and Australia, but has done the predominant part of his training in Ireland as a senior house officer on a variety of posts. This exposure to diverse cultures from several continents has given him an insight into the similarities and differences in health care, and the ability to adapt to new situations and to work as part of a team with diverse personalities. Mompoloki speaks fluent Setswana, and interests outside of medicine include traveling and mountain hiking.
