Mitun (Suchismita) Samanta, DO

Born and raised in the U.S., Mitun’s grandfather was a village doctor in India. She is a passionate and dedicated volunteer worker, who has found invaluable satisfaction in helping others inside and outside of the medical community, both in the U.S. and abroad. She received an undergraduate degree in Economics from New York University. Mitun views the role of internist as being responsible for the whole of the patient, and has sought a program with a strong foundation in teaching, teamwork, and clinical research. She aspires to train in Hematology/Oncology. She speaks conversational Spanish, and is fluent in Bengali and French. Mitun enjoys photography, travel, cycling, skiing, and is a successful professional dancer trained in classical Indian dance.
