Sarah completed her undergrad studies at Amherst College, graduating Cum Laude with Distinction, and studied abroad in Grenoble, France. She received her Master in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health after completing her 4th year of medical school. Her interest in public health was initially sparked by working on a remote farm in the French Pyrenees and interning with the American Public Health Association’s Global Health Department. This internship brought her to Togo, West Africa where she volunteered in a health clinic for women and children.
During medical school, Sarah worked with the Rhode Island Department of Corrections and Rhode Island Department of Health researching the efficacy of instituting rapid HIV testing in the Rhode Island jail.
Her hobbies include modern dance, ice dancing, traveling, and spending time with good friends. Prior to medical school, Sarah worked as a milieu counselor on a geriatric psychiatric unit in Holyoke, MA, while living in Northampton, MA. She is very excited to be back in the Pioneer Valley.
