Tara completed her undergraduate studies at Case Western Reserve University, where she received her Honors in Biochemistry.  The year after college, Tara was a Service Leader with City Year Cleveland-AmeriCorps.  She worked closely with adolescents in the Cleveland public schools, teaching health education and life skills, as well as participating in after-school programs and organizing city-wide service projects.  While in medical school, she volunteered at Reach Out Montgomery County, a health care facility for the uninsured in Dayton.  Tara served on her medical school’s Admissions Committee and was an Academic Representative for her class.  She was also active in the American Medical Student Association, serving as Treasurer and representing her medical school at the Annual National Conference.  In her spare time, Tara enjoys intramural sports.  She loves all music and tries to find time to practice her guitar and alto saxophone.
