There is a night float rotation throughout all four years of residency. The week is from Sunday evening though Friday morning.
In the PGY 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year there is a short call system in place. Four residents (one from each year) are here to cover until the night float team comes in at 8:30pm. In the PGY 1 class, the L&D resident is relieved by the night float resident.
