Hi! Welcome to the Baystate Children’s Hospital Residency Program Website. We are grateful for your interest in our program. I feel certain that you will be excited and impressed by what you see here. We are justifiably proud of our residency program's history and are excited about new changes that are being planned and implemented to enlarge and strengthen it.

The majority of all children’s hospitals are, as we are, a children’s hospital within a larger general hospital. This entire group struggles to ensure that children are a real priority in their institution and many have attained some measure of success in that arena,but Baystate Medical Center “really gets it.” We have named our experience of serving kids and their families “The Spirit of the Child” and it guides everything that we do, here in the hospital, in our outpatient clinics and in the larger community of western Massachusetts. We work as a team of committed physicians, nurses, technicians, clerical assistants, volunteers, parents, and patients to ensure that everything we do for children is really done with the child in mind. In short, we really believe our motto, “Children Deserve the Best!”
