Yaron Ivan, MD

Yaron was born and raised in Israel.  He moved to the United States in 2000 after completing his military service in the Israel Defense Forces.  He attended Northeastern University where he majored in biotechnology and won the academic excellence award in that field, graduating with high honors.  During part of that time he worked at Boston University in an Alzheimer’s research lab.  After graduation he worked at a pharmaceutical firm as a research associate.  Yaron began the Touro-Technion MS/MD joint degree program in 2005 and received his Masters of Science from Touro College in New York in 2006.  He then went on to complete his medical training at the Technion Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel.  While there, he regularly volunteered at the Primary Care Health Center in Tirat HaCarmel.  Yaron has two young daughters and his wife recently delivered his new son.  Besides spending time with his family, he enjoys cooking and jogging (a previous marathoner).  He plays the guitar, bass guitar, drums and piano.
