Uche completed her undergraduate studies at Bucknell University with a degree in biology.  She did biomedical research with Dr. Lindsey Grossman in Maryland and then left Baltimore for medical school in Blacksburg, VA.  Uche participated in several community outreach activities in rural Virginia as well as volunteer work in El Salvador.  For 13 years she has played the clarinet in her church band. She enjoys writing songs, playing volleyball, and experimenting with preparing different ethnic cuisines.
