Jimena Tuis received her MD from the Universidad Anahuac School of Medicine in Mexico in 2008. During her studies, she was also the coordinator for Helping Hands Medical Missions, providing free medical consultation and assistance to underserved communities, and served as Assistant Instructor of Public Health and Epidemiology, teaching second year medical students. After graduation, she worked as an assistant physician for a year, and became a visiting fellow at Weill Cornell Medical College, training with Otto Kernberg, MD in the treatment of personality disorders. She enjoys writing short stories and poems, reading, photography, yoga, and Tai Chi. |
