After secondary school Abdullah entered the six year medical education program of the National Univ. of Ireland associated with the Royal College of Surgeons.  After graduating from medical school Abdullah completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Baystate Medical Center. He has been very active in research and has had a number of poster presentations including papers at the 2008 and 2009 RSNA.  

He has lived abroad for eight years with extensive world travel for cultural enrichment. He enjoys investing in financial markets, reading, and golfing.  He is a Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins fan.
