Roo received a B.A. degree in Biology from the Pomona College in Claremont, CA.  He volunteered at the West Covina Free Clinic, served as a teaching assistant in the Pomona College Department of Biology and earned the Howard Hughes Summer Student Research Fellowship at Yale University.  Roozbeh is proficient in Farsi and Spanish.  

He is an amateur photographer and enjoys nature photography while backpacking and underwater photography while scuba diving.
