CMCS Panel to Improve Maternal and Infant Health Outcomes Appoints Susan DeJoy, CNM, PhD

Susan DeJoy, CNM, PhDDr. Susan DeJoy, Chief of Midwifery and Community Health, has been appointed to the CMCS Expert Panel on Improving Maternal and Infant Outcomes in Medicaid and CHIP.

The focus of the Panel is to support state Medicaid programs and their partners as they enhance existing efforts or embark on new activities to provide better care, improve birth outcomes and reduce the cost of care for mothers and infants. The Panel will also make recommendations on linking quality outcomes to payment for both institutions and providers.
