Baystate Medical Center is committed to conducting research that benefits the communities we serve and society as a whole.  Our commitment to research brings access to treatment options that might not otherwise be available in our community as well as the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of scientific and medical knowledge.

Research Opportunities at Baystate

Baystate Medical Center and its Research Investigators conduct clinical trials in many different areas of adult and pediatric medicine and surgery including multi-center clinical trials, and locally developed research. 

Safe and Ethical Research

Baystate is committed to conducting research in a manner that protects your safety and promotes your rights and welfare.   Research at Baystate is overseen by a comprehensive Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) responsible for coordinating activities necessary for the safe and ethical conduct of research.  The Baystate Health HRPP is fully accredited by the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP).


The HRPP is interested in hearing your comments, answering your questions and responding to any concerns regarding research.
