Greg Harb, FACHE

 
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Baystate Health        Image
 

As Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer overseeing the entire Baystate Health clinical enterprise including the hospitals and medical practices, Greg has a key role in developing and executing an integrated clinical vision for the system. 
 
Before joining Baystate in 2011, Greg was Chief Operating Officer of St. Joseph's/Candler Health System in Savannah, Georgia, since 2006.  This system has 3,100 employees and includes two hospitals with a total of 625 beds, home health services, a medical group, a cancer and research pavilion, and an infirmary. Greg and his team developed and executed numerous strategies that improved quality, increased customer satisfaction and improved financial performance. 

 

Greg began his health care career at Memorial Hermann Healthcare System in Houston, Texas, where he began as an administrative fellow and quickly gained responsibility and earned several significant leadership promotions over nine years with the organization.  He was appointed Vice President/Chief Operating Officer of Memorial Hermann Hospital, an 800-bed, Level 1 trauma center and teaching site for the University of Texas School of Medicine.  Among his achievements with Memorial Hermann, Greg led a $90 million campus expansion project.  He also was CEO for Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville in Brownsville, Texas.

 

Greg holds an MHA from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, and an MBA from University of Memphis, Fogelman College of Business and Economics, Memphis, Tennessee.  He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
