We partner with Baystate Medical Center in Springfield to deliver the quality of care through tele-medicine technology. The technology features a high quality camera that can be controlled by a Baystate Medical Center neurologist or neurosurgeon from a remote setting, while talking directly to the BMLH emergency department physician, patient and family. While they collaborate in the examination of the patient, they are also simultaneously receiving a CT scan of the patient's brain.

The BMLH Emergency Team

The Emergency Department features board certified emergency care physicians and a nursing team with special training in basic life support and advanced cardiac life support.  Several of our nurses are trauma certified, and pediatric life support certified, and some are certified emergency nurses. These certifications empower our nurses to go above and beyond their basic schooling and be prepared for the widest possible array of emergencies.

In addition, the staff in the Emergency Department has access to the Trauma team of specialists at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
