The physicians at Baystate Medical Practices - Baystate Thoracic Surgery specialize in the surgical management of a variety of conditions affecting the lungs and thoracic organs, including lung and esophageal cancer.  

They perform a full array of surgical procedures, including:

• Minimally invasive surgery for tumors of the lung, esophagus, pleura and mediastinum

Baystate Thoracic Surgery provides comprehensive care for all thoracic diseases in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of thoracic care specialists.  Currently, we are the only team in western Massachusetts performing advanced minimally invasive thoracoscopic procedures, including thoracoscopic lobectomy.  These techniques minimize patient discomfort, increase accuracy and control during surgery, speed healing and eliminate scarring, compared to traditional invasive surgery.

Our practice specializes in complex surgical (open and minimally invasive) management for a variety of conditions that affect the chest area, using, whenever possible, the most advanced minimally invasive and video-assisted technologies.

Our board certified cardio-thoracic surgeons are faculty members of the Tufts University School of Medicine western campus at Baystate Medical Center.
