About Our Practice: Baystate Pediatric Genetics, a Baystate Children's Hospital Practice, communicates information about inherited conditions within a family. A genetic counselor, trained in medical genetics and psychosocial counseling, assesses risks for genetic conditions based on information provided by the patient. The goal is to provide a complete understanding of the implications of the genetic condition in question. The counselor helps patients make informed decisions, but do not make decisions for their patients. Our board certified specialists, who are also on the faculty of the Baystate Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine Western Campus, have access to all the facilities of Baystate Medical Center.

We participate in most insurance programs offered in our area.

If you have any questions about whether your specific health plan covers our services, please call the toll-free number on the back of your insurance member ID card.

 

If you have commercial insurance coverage, primary or secondary, we will submit a claim to your insurance carrier. You are responsible for all balances due after your insurance company pays its portion, as well as for any co-payments required by your insurance company at the time of the visit.
