Babysitter Academy to be held in March at Baystate Mary Lane Hospital

Ware, MA (January 21, 2014) - Baystate Mary Lane Hospital will sponsor a Babysitters Academy in March to ready area youth for spring babysitting responsibilities. 

The one day program will be held on Sunday, March 9, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.  The class will be held in the Main Conference Room located on the second floor of the hospital.

The Babysitters Academy is a certified babysitter program for young adults ages 11 ½ -16.  The Sunday session offers potential babysitters instruction in baby care, first aid, CPR, fire safety, home security, child behavior and accident prevention. 

 

Participants are given a course booklet containing helpful tips and other information, and will receive a graduation certificate upon completion of the course.


The program is offered by the Parenting program at Baystate Medical Center. There is a $30 fee.   Space is limited.  Pre-registration is required, by calling Baystate Health Link at (413) 967-2488.
