FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ware, MA (February 25, 2013) - Baystate Health has lifted changes implemented in its visitors policy early in January to protect patients, visitors and staff against the flu.

According to the Department of Public Health, the incidence of flu in the area is subsiding and the rate of flu cases being reported has now returned to normal for this time of year.

The health system’s three hospitals affected by the change in visitation rules included Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, and Baystate Mary Lane Hospital in Ware, as well as various outpatient facilities.
