BMLH APPOINTS NEW CLINICAL SUPERVISOR IN ONCOLOGY SERVICES

| WARE – Baystate Mary Lane Hospital announces the appointment of Nancy Price, R.N., B.S.N., O.C.N., to the position of Clinical Nurse Supervisor of the Baystate Regional Cancer Program. Price is a resident of Granby, Massachusetts, where she lives with her husband, Andrew and six children. |

Nancy is a graduate of St. Anselm College in New Hampshire, and has several years of experience working in both inpatient and outpatient oncology. She is national certified in Oncology Nursing from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation.
For the past four years, Nancy has held the position of Oncology Nurse Clinician providing infusion services at the D’Amour Center for Cancer Care at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
“Nancy is well versed in all aspects of cancer care and will be a valuable resource to providers, staff, and patients,” said Marna Mucha, M.S.N., R.N., Director of Nursing, BMLH. “She also has a special interest in hospice and end-of-life care which provides the Baystate Regional Cancer Program with an added level of expertise.”

The Baystate Regional Cancer Program at BMLH, located in the hospital’s Gilbert Wing, includes three exam rooms, two infusion suites, and a private waiting room for family. The area features a healing environment, including framed artwork and inspirational words, along with hand paintings and wallpaper.
Patients also appreciate the ease and comfort in their visit as they can register, obtain blood tests, meet with caregivers, and receive their cancer treatment, all in one area. Oncologists and specialists from the Baystate Regional Cancer Program at the D’Amour Center for Cancer Care in Springfield provide direct patient care to patients at Baystate Mary Lane Hospital in Ware. The Program also provides a free shuttle service for patient going to the D’Amour Center for Cancer Care for their radiation treatment.
