UPDATE: Weather Related Information for Springfield-based Employees
BMC remains in a Plan D standby and the Emergency Operations Center is open.
Baystate Health, its hospitals, medical practices, and all services and entities remain open and all BH employees are expected to work according to planned schedules. Managers/directors should ensure that all patient care activities are appropriately staffed.
Employees who are considered essential to patient care or business operations are expected to report to work as usual and BMC employees should contact the Emergency Operations Center (794-4477) if they need transportation to work or overnight accommodations at BMC. Even with transportation challenges, employees should make arrangements to arrive at work on time or before scheduled shifts. Employees should contact their manager if they are going to be delayed.
Employees who are not essential to patient care or business operations are also expected to report to work for their scheduled shifts. Employees who are experiencing challenges getting to work need to contact their manager/director and will need to use personal/vacation time for the absence.
We continue to monitor the weather situation, and the Emergency Operations Team will reconvene tomorrow morning to assess the situation and we will update you accordingly.
