What is Turn-Around-Time?  It is important that your doctor gets your imaging results as quickly as possible, especially in the Emergency Department.  A turn-around-time in the Radiology Department means the amount of time it takes from when the doctor orders the exam until the Radiologist’s report is available to the doctor who ordered it.  A lower turn-around-time means faster answers for your doctor and potentially quicker treatment for you.

Over the past year, Baystate Medical Center’s Department of Radiology has decreased the average turn-around-time for diagnostic imaging results in the Emergency Department by 31%, and we continue to seek new ways to improve.
