Reproductive endocrinology is the subspecialty in obstetrics and gynecology dealing primarily with the medical and surgical management of hormone related gynecologic concerns. 

Reproductive endocrinologists are board certified obstetrician/gynecologists who have spent at least two years of additional training focused exclusively on female hormonal problems as well as female and male infertility. Reproductive endocrinologists are trained extensively:

• In the use of injectable fertility medications (gonadotropins)
• Invitro fertilization techniques
• Hysteroscopy
• Laparoscopy
• Microsurgery. 

Medical conditions managed by reproductive endocrinologists include disorders of puberty, hirsuitism, endometriosis, and mentrual disorders.
