|
Personal Statement:
|
The ministry of spiritual care invites the chaplain and the patient (or family member or staff) to create a trusting, holy relationship in which the sacred can meet our core humanity at a time of crisis. For a period of time, chaplain and patient become compassionate companions on the life journey charged with the call to make meaning out of extraordinary experiences. The pastoral relationship’s healing power can help to transform a crisis into a holy opportunity for new hope, peace and love.
