"Take Steps for a Cure" walk in Forest Park, Springfield

The Baystate Colorectal Surgery Team participated in the “Take Steps for a Cure” walk on Saturday, October 16, to raise funds to support research for Crohn’s and Colitis.

This was the first annual “Take Steps” walk in the Springfield area.  Sponsored by the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, the walk took place in Forest Park.  The team was excited to walk beside many of their patients and other caring members of our community.  Drs. Tyler and Kutayli care for the surgical aspects of these diseases routinely and know how they affect patients and families. The Colorectal team brought along members of their own families to walk beside them, and they encourage everyone in our community to “Take Steps” to contribute.
