Welcome to the Baystate Medical Center Weight Loss Surgery Support Groups!  Meetings are held at Baystate Medical Center, 759 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA in the Chestnut Conference Room 1B of the Chestnut Surgical Center Building.  

Please note there is also one meeting at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, MA each month. 

Kindly refrain from bringing young children to the meetings as it is often difficult for them to remain quiet for 2 hours.  If you have any questions, please call us at 413-794-7020.

Bariatric patient support groups for the Weight Loss Surgery Program meet regularly during the month.  The groups consist of patients who are:

•   Are considering bariatric surgery
•   Are waiting to have surgery
•   Have already had bariatric surgery. 

We also have a special post-op Back on Track support group for individuals who have gained ten pounds or more since having bariatric surgery.  Learn more....

The bariatric support group meetings last for two hours. The support groups are a forum where patients can discuss their triumphs as well as any problems or concerns they may have.  The meetings provide valuable information for prospective bariatric patients and their family members while supporting those who have already experienced weight loss surgery.
