If you are a new employee, your manager will provide you with your network password. If your manager is not available, or you are a current employee that needs help with their password, you may get assistance by contacting the Information Services Help Desk at (413) 794-3000 from 7:30 to 5:30 PM Monday – Friday or by Web Paging to pager # 48844 after hours, on holidays and weekends.
Because passwords are key to Baystate’s computer network security, Information Technology has established enhanced logon password enforcement tools at the network level.
This applies when logging on to:
- The network at the beginning of your work day
When you change your Network password it will apply to the following:
- Eclipsys Bed Management
- Outlook E-mail
- Lawson Portal
Passwords require a minimum of 8 characters using all three of the following:
- uppercase letters (A-Z)
- lowercase letters (a-z)

Note: Your employee number or name cannot be used in your password. For example, Security will not accept “En12345” or“Mary12345” as a password.
Network Accounts lockout after 10 failed attempts. Lock-out lasts 30 min; users can either wait the 30min and try your password again or call the Help Desk to have the password reset.
